This itinerary will give you a chance to explore and unveil the hidden culture of Great Mountain Ranges like Hindu Kush, Karakorum and Himalayas in the Northern Areas of Pakistan. ITINERARY
Day 01 Arrival/Islamabad:Arrival & transfer to hotel.
Day 02 Islamabad/Swat: Depart for Swat,on the way stop at Takht-e-Bahi, a monastery from Buddhist times & Charsadda -identified as ancient Pushkalavati, the pre-Kushan Capital of Gandhara.
Day 03 Swat/Chitral: Drive to Chitral via Dir and picturesque Lowari Pass (3174m), lying in the midst of the Hindukush. Chitral (1800m) offers enchanting scenery in the shadow of the majestic Trich Mir, at 7708m, is the highest peak of the Hindukush Range.
Day 04 Chitral/Kalash: Chitral is most famous for the Kalash people who inhabit the southwestern part of the region.
Day 05 Kalash Sightseeing: Full day sightseeing tour & visit local houses and meeting with friendly people.
Day 06 Kalash/Mastuj: Today the exciting part of our journey will start as we move further from towns and towards the wilderness and peaceful areas where the pace of life is slow and things dictated by nature.
Day 07 Mastuj/Gupis: Another wonderful day as we gain height on an uphill journey till the Shandur pass (3734m) the highest Polo Ground in the world. Later we continue our journey through Phandar valley known as “Little Kashmir”
Day 08 Gupis/Gulmit: Drive from Gupis to Gulmit along Ghizer River, also visit Kargah Buddha carved on the rock from 7th century A.D & visit old suspension bridge and bazaar of Gilgit, later continue drive to Gulmit on the way stop at Rakaposhi (7788m) viewpoint.
Day 09 Gulmit/Karimabad: short drive up to Passu glacier, in the way stop at Hussani viewpoint, which offers the superb view of Gulmit tower (6200m), Shisper peak (7411m), Passu peak (7478m) and Cathedral peak (6100m).Later drive back to Karimabad.
Day 10 Excursion Hopper glacier & Sightseeing of Karimabad(2400m): Hopper (2900m) high snowcapped mountains surrounds the village of Hopper, offers magnificent view of Ultar Peak (7388m) and Barpu glacier. Late afternoon sightseeing tour of Baltit fort (The old residence of Mir (King) of Hunza.
Day 11 Hunza/Chilas: On the way stop at unique place to view the junction of three great ranges of the world i.e. Karakorum, Himalayas and Hindukush. Later stop at Nanga Parbat (8126m) viewpoint, the 09th highest peak of the world.
Day 12 Chilas/Naran: Drive to Naran through Babusar Pass (3200m). After the pass we will enter in Kaghan Valley.
Day 13 Naran/Islamabad: On the way visit Taxila sites, It is famous for the rare specimens of stucco from the Gandhara period. The museum houses objects and sculptures dating from the 4th century BC to the 5th century AD.
Day 14 Sightseeing Rawalpindi & Islamabad: Visit the old garrison town of Rawalpindi followed by a drive into modernity at Islamabad.
Day 15 Departure: After breakfast drop at airport for your international departure flight
